The Odd Flexible Weibull-H Family of Distributions: Properties and Estimation with Applications to Complete and Upper Record Data

Abstract


In this paper, a new generator of continuous distributions is presented, called the odd flexible Weibull-H (OFW-H) family. Some statistical and mathematical properties of the OFW-H family are derived. Further, two special models are introduced and discussed. The model parameters are estimated using the maximum likelihood (ML) method. Also, we assess the performance of the ML estimators in terms of mean square error using simulation studies. Finally, two applications to real data sets show the flexibility of the new family.
