On Some Exact Distributions in Ranked Set Sampling

Abstract

In this article we obtain the exact joint distribution of a ranked set sample. We show that this distribution belongs to the family of unified multivariate skew normal distributions. We also investigate a multivariate skew t distributions using ranked set samples as an application of our results.
