Some Remarks on Mathematical General Relativity Theory

Abstract

This paper gives a brief survey of the development of general relativ-
ity theory starting from Newtonian theory and Euclidean geometry and
proceeding through to special relativity and nally to general relativity
and relativistic cosmology.
