Erratum to ``$\lowercase{c_0}$ can be renormed to have the fixed point property for affine nonexpansive mappings''

Abstract

We have noticed that our joint paper entitled``$\lowercase{c_0}$ can be renormed to have the fixed point property for affine nonexpansive mappings'' contradicts with a result of a paper by {\'A}lvaro,  Cembranos and Mendoza. Unfortunately, we were not aware of their results since our joint paper with Mustafa was still under review before the publishment of the paper by {\'A}lvaro,  Cembranos and Mendoza. Then, we have seen that the error in our paper occurs at a Lemma which leads our conclusion invalid.

So we detect that Lemma 3.12 is not valid and then proof of theorems using the lemma cannot be valid either. Therefore, Theorem 3.13 and Theorem 3.14 with further results are not true. It can be said that Lemma 3.12 is true for only some subsequences of the sequences in the hypothesis but Theorem 3.13 requires the main sequences, then since Theorem 3.14 and further results use Theorem 3.13, they all turn out to be invalid.
